A living economy

Beyond the planets, asteroid fields and nebulae hold finite reserves that regenerate slowly. Mining fleets harvest them, freighters move goods between your colonies, and whoever controls the rich deposits shapes the economy of a whole region.

ECON Galaxy is a free space strategy game in your browser. You develop planets, research technologies, command fleets and compete with other players in one persistent online galaxy.

Is ECON Galaxy free to play?

Yes. Registration and playing are free.

Do I need to download anything?

No. ECON Galaxy runs in any modern browser on desktop and mobile. There is nothing to install.

Can I fight other players?

Yes, that is the core of the game. The attack mission with battle reports and loot is in development right now. Until then you build up your defenses, research and fleet, so you are ready when the first raids start.

What can I already play today?

ECON Galaxy is in active development. Already playable: developing your planets, the research tree, shipyard and planetary defenses, transport and deploy flights between your planets, the shared galaxy map and claiming star systems. Colonization and attacks are coming next, followed by mining, alliances and trade.

Is ECON Galaxy an alternative to OGame?

If you enjoy classic browser games like OGame, you will feel at home right away: planets, mines, research, fleets and battles. On top of that, ECON Galaxy adds a shared galaxy map, mining in asteroid fields and nebulae, and political rule over entire star systems.

How do I get started?
